It’s CULTED with your 60 seconds new blast!
In an Interview with Vogue, Rihanna revealed
that she had turned down the Superbowl halftime show – TWICE,
“I couldn’t dare do that” Rihanna said.
As she stands in solidarity with former
American Football Quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
You might remember – Kaepernick refused to stand and kneeled during the national anthem
before the NFL games in 2016
-In protest of the U.S. police brutality and racism against African Americans.
Rihanna raised the question why she should perform at the Superbowl at all and continued:
“Who gains from that? Not my people.” (….
….) There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all,
and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”
For many years, the Super Bowl halftime show
was one of the sport events highlight everyone was waiting for.
But since the NFL is shunning Colin Kaepernick…
And U.S President Donald Trump makes statements such as
The “NFL should fire ‘any son of a b****’ that protests the national anthem”….
Hmm who’d want to continue performing at the Super Bowl?
Especially now Rihanna has come out with this statement.
