"For standing up outside the car, I think it was she to blame alone. Nobody else. Responsibility is hers," Mr. Musharraf said in the interview taped Saturday morning.
That's right folks. Guns/bombs don't kill people - standing up at a political rally kills people.
Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday outside a large gathering of her supporters where a suicide bomber also killed at least 14, doctors and a spokesman for her party said.
While Bhutto appeared to have died from bullet wounds, it was not immediately clear if she was shot or if her wounds were caused by bomb shrapnel.
President Pervez Musharraf held an emergency meeting in the hours after the death, according to state media.
Mahmud Ali Durrani, Pakistan ambassador to the United States, said Musharraf will be "announcing something" soon, likely to include a declaration of national mourning for Bhutto. He said that when he briefly spoke with Musharraf, the president "condemned these attacks."
Police warned citizens to stay home as they expected rioting to break out in city streets in reaction to the death.
This is not the terrorist's fault. This is the idiots (or useful idiots) who were "guarding" him. We should know better than to trust a Muslim under any circumstances, especially when the Koran teaches them to lie to the infidel (the practice of "takiya").
Rashid Rauf, a key suspect in the alleged Heathrow bomb plot, escaped police custody in Pakistan after officers allowed him to pray at a mosque as he was being driven back to prison in his uncle’s car.
The bizarre details of Mr Rauf’s escape, and the lax security, emerged as he spent his second day on the run, and are a huge embarrassment for the Pakistani Government.
Mr Rauf fled while being driven by two police officers from a court in Islamabad, where he had appeared over Britain’s request for his extradition. On a similar journey last year he arrived at court in a police van with three dozen police commando guards and several escort vehicles – standard practice for a high-value suspect.
Investigators have discovered that Mr Rauf left court in his uncle’s car, accompanied by two police officers, and was allowed to stop at a fast-food restaurant for lunch before going on to a mosque to pray.
The two officers waited in the car while Mr Rauf and his uncle, Mohammed Rafiq, entered the prayer room, but when they failed to emerge, the officers discovered that the men had escaped through the back door.
Islam for example is merely some kind of evil sex and death cult masquerading as a religion. Think I'm wrong?
Meanwhile, horrifying new details emerged last night of the attempt by suicide bombers to kill Ms Bhutto on her return home from exile last month.
Investigators from Ms Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party said yesterday they believed the bomb, which killed 170 people and left hundreds more wounded, was strapped to a one-year-old child carried by its jihadist father.
They said the suicide bomber tried repeatedly to carry the baby to Ms Bhutto's vehicle as she drove in a late-night cavalcade through the streets of Karachi.
Religion of Peace, my fat white ass. There is no God in a cult(ure) that would goad its adherents to such acts.
Reaching out to spread the word of the Holy Koran...
A young Christian woman was kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to Islam by a Muslim man in Faisalabad, Khalil Tahir, chairman of "Adal Trust," a free legal aid organisation that helps minorities, told AsiaNews.
According to early reports, 18-year-old Razia went to visit her aunt on October 21 but never came home. Her parents went out looking for her but to no avail. They also contacted a Muslim man, Sajid, who had harassed her in the past, but he denied any knowledge of her whereabouts.
Razia did eventually make it home on October 31 in a state of shock. She told her parents that Sajid had abducted her, repeatedly raped her and forced her to convert to Islam. She is currently under medical care.
"The girl's father went to the police to file a complaint on the evening of Razia's return, but they were reluctant to register the case fearing that it might get out of proportion because of its religious element," Khalil Tahir told AsiaNews.
I wonder if this means that, now that she's a Muslim, will she be stoned to death for extramarital sex?
