Beach roundup

I'm actually on vacation this week, and am about to go sit by the pool, read a magazine, and work on adding some lifelike color to my pasty white skin. So here's a roundup:

Why don't they just call it cotton candy? Government renames Islamic terrorism as 'anti-Islamic activity' to woo Muslims

There is no compulsion in religion? British street gang forcing conversions to Islam, dealing drugs.

Cold Terror: Mohammed Mansour Jabarah conspired to blow up U.S. embassies in Singapore and Philippines, gets life term in prison

Bad time to be born in Montreal hospital: Doctors at a Montreal hospital are threatening to stop delivering babies this spring, saying the aging maternity ward is in a decrepit state of repair.

I don't agree with this ruling, especially when young girls are being coerced into getting the HPV vaccine (which has not had enough time to be adequately tested) that you and I are funding: Men who pay for prostrate screening tests are not being discriminated against even though women get free breast cancer screening, the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal said Thursday in a ruling it conceded would not end the public health controversy.

And for a great laugh: The Top 25 Men Who Look Like Old Lesbians

I guess she was just "uncovered meat"

Musharraf says of Bhutto:

"For standing up outside the car, I think it was she to blame alone. Nobody else. Responsibility is hers," Mr. Musharraf said in the interview taped Saturday morning.

That's right folks. Guns/bombs don't kill people - standing up at a political rally kills people.

Another Islamic Shithole

The Islamist group al-Shabab has claimed responsibility for the killing of a senior Somali military official and his bodyguard in south Mogadishu.

Colonel Farah Abdulle Ga'al and his bodyguard died when a landmine concealed under the colonel's chair exploded after he arrived at work.

Earlier on Sunday, a woman and her five children were killed when a mortar round exploded in north Mogadishu.

Another two people were reported to have been killed in the southern part of the city.

Somalia has been politically fragmented since 1991 and the country's transitional government, faced with an insurgency, is dependent on international aid and Ethiopian military support.

Wherever you are in the world, wherever you find Islam, you will find strife. You will also find Western (Christian) governments paying the Muslims to help them clean up their messes. Even in our countries, we have Muslims preaching hate against us in their mosques, and we're paying them to loaf on welfare while they outbreed us.

They do not know how to play nice - not with us, and not with each other. They do not wish to adhere to the Christian principals of togetherness, teamwork or love-thy-neighbor. Instead they want to kill and maim in the name of their false desert prophet. That is not a religion - it is an abomination.

Fer crying out loud!

This is not the terrorist's fault. This is the idiots (or useful idiots) who were "guarding" him. We should know better than to trust a Muslim under any circumstances, especially when the Koran teaches them to lie to the infidel (the practice of "takiya").

Rashid Rauf, a key suspect in the alleged Heathrow bomb plot, escaped police custody in Pakistan after officers allowed him to pray at a mosque as he was being driven back to prison in his uncle’s car.

The bizarre details of Mr Rauf’s escape, and the lax security, emerged as he spent his second day on the run, and are a huge embarrassment for the Pakistani Government.

Mr Rauf fled while being driven by two police officers from a court in Islamabad, where he had appeared over Britain’s request for his extradition. On a similar journey last year he arrived at court in a police van with three dozen police commando guards and several escort vehicles – standard practice for a high-value suspect.

Investigators have discovered that Mr Rauf left court in his uncle’s car, accompanied by two police officers, and was allowed to stop at a fast-food restaurant for lunch before going on to a mosque to pray.

The two officers waited in the car while Mr Rauf and his uncle, Mohammed Rafiq, entered the prayer room, but when they failed to emerge, the officers discovered that the men had escaped through the back door.

Duh.

What amnesty really means

Two convicted terrorists who had been freed in an amnesty carried out the suicide bombings at UN and government buildings that killed 37 people, an Algerian security official said Thursday.

One of the bombers was a 64-year-old man in the advanced stages of cancer, while the other was a 32-year-old from a poor suburb that has produced many Islamic militants, the security official said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Take it on the micro level: Look at how many crimes get committed locally by assholes out on bail wearing Martha Stewart-esque security tags. Now multiply that by a zillion times the evil and add a pinch of Armageddon, and that's what it means to give amnesty to an Islamic whackjob who's had his brain replaced with Jihad dreams.

The government has offered amnesties to try to end a 15-year Islamic insurgency, resulting in thousands of militants turning themselves in, but sparking fierce criticism from the families of victims.

There's more happening in Bali than just Al Gore's flatulence

The Religion of Peace has given us more to look forward to:

"Not long now Australia will go down. Its world will go down, the people will go down and doom on their Armageddon," Samudra said in English.

"Specially for you Australia. Tell to your Minister, if you kafir did not convert to Islam then you will go to hell.

Christmas Greetings from the Religion that gave us fatwas, honor killings, rape-as-payment-for-dishonor, stonings, and September 11th. Really though, it's all about peace.

"Youths" injure cops

Amazing. I read 4 random reports from the ongoing Paris "youth" riots, and not one of those reports said the "M-word": Muslim. Because, ya know, if you pretend it's a Religion of Peace(tm), then it must be true!

French police fired tear gas and rubber bullets late on Monday during running battles with rioters in a suburb north of Paris where two youths died after a crash involving a police car.

During a second night of disturbances in Villiers-le-Bel and nearby areas, a local government official said one policeman suffered minor injuries after being shot in the shoulder by some kind of firearm.

A Reuters witness said police were pelted with stones and large firecrackers that exploded over their heads during hours of cat-and-mouse skirmishes with rioters.

Police replied with tear gas, rubber bullets and paint guns designed to identify troublemakers. Spent cartridges and rocks thrown by rioters littered the streets.

Around half a dozen injured officers received treatment in a local fire station used by police as a base. One officer, his face bloodied, had his arm in a sling.

Rioters torched a car, a garbage truck and a police vehicle.

I guess letting them burn things and attack cops is what the French call "reasonable accommodation". I call it grounds for mass deportation.

It was hoped by many - myself included - that once Sarkozy was elected he would put a stop to this nonsense. He obviously has little patience for the "scum", which is how he was elected in the first place. I do hope that on his return from Beijing he actually puts his foot down and squashes this ridiculous intifada. Now they've started attacking the cops - it's time to end this.

Think about it, those of you who live in North America, in cities and towns across this massive continent. How would you feel if you looked out your window one night and saw the bloodiest days of Baghdad brought to life before your eyes? This is how it is for the French right now. They are a secular Christian nation with an Islamic war taking place within it. How would you feel sending your kids out to catch the school bus in the morning amid the smoking ruins of last night's riot? Especially when you know there will be another tonight, just after dark, just after the little ones get home from ecole? We don't do such things in civilized countries. It is simply unacceptable, and yet it is happening to France. Say what you will about the French, but it will be happening here soon enough, too. And then what will you do?

Speak out against the Islamic takeover of our schools and neighborhoods now, before you are silenced for good.

Not all religions are equal

Islam for example is merely some kind of evil sex and death cult masquerading as a religion. Think I'm wrong?

Meanwhile, horrifying new details emerged last night of the attempt by suicide bombers to kill Ms Bhutto on her return home from exile last month.

Investigators from Ms Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party said yesterday they believed the bomb, which killed 170 people and left hundreds more wounded, was strapped to a one-year-old child carried by its jihadist father.

They said the suicide bomber tried repeatedly to carry the baby to Ms Bhutto's vehicle as she drove in a late-night cavalcade through the streets of Karachi.

Religion of Peace, my fat white ass. There is no God in a cult(ure) that would goad its adherents to such acts.

Another female Muslim subverts her host country

This time by infiltrating the CIA and FBI.

A Lebanese woman who worked for the CIA and FBI pleaded guilty on Tuesday to using government computers to gain information about the Hezbollah militant group and fraudulently obtaining U.S. citizenship, the Justice Department said.

Nada Prouty, 37, pleaded guilty in Michigan to charges of conspiracy, unauthorized computer access and naturalization fraud. The charges carry penalties of up to 10 years in prison, fines and loss of citizenship.

It's time we let go of our politically correct notion that Muslims can be trusted. Time and again they are proving that "loons" and "extremists" like me (not to mention all the unprintable names I get called) might not be far off the mark. I cannot understand why we are so willing to risk public security by extending sensitive positions to people who are taught from the very womb to hate and murder and subvert.

Why was she working at the airport?

What is with this driving need in the West to have Muslims working in our airports? Just what are we trying to prove?

Samina Malik from Southall, west London, has been found guilty at the Old Bailey of owning terrorist manuals.

The jury heard Malik had written extremist poems praising Osama Bin Laden, supporting martyrdom and discussing beheading.

Malik worked at WH Smith at Heathrow Airport until her arrest last October.

This is a 23-year old hijab wearing woman. Who worked at an airport. The mind reels. This raises many issues. First of all, when we think of terrorists and their supporters, we think of men. That's not always the case though, as here in Toronto, we discovered that the wives of the men we arrested were pushing them hard towards jihad.

So while I am in favor of giving women in Islamic countries more rights, letting them get an education, letting them drive, keeping them from being stoned to death; I know we must be ever mindful that just because they are the "fairer sex" does not mean they don't have the same hateful ideology running through their veins as the men do. They are Muslims first, and women second. And we should watch our backs at all times.

And maybe keep them out of the airports. Just a suggestion.

Hillary backed by terrorists? Investigative press yawns

I can't believe only one source is carrying this story. Even if it's just a rumor, wouldn't you think that our tenacious (read: Fake but accurate) free press in the West would be all over this, proving its verity or fallacy?

Maybe Britney had another custody hearing today that kept them occupied.

Presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., has taken thousands of dollars in cash donations from Islamists under federal investigation for terror-financing, money laundering and tax fraud, WND has learned.

The Democrat senator over the past seven months has received $1,000 from M. Yaqub Mirza and another $500 from M. Omar Ashraf, federal campaign records show. Federal agents raided the Virginia homes and offices of the Muslim donors after 9/11 for ties to terrorism.

Others tied to the still-active probe also have contributed money to Clinton, including one Muslim man who after 9/11 complained the U.S. government should focus on changing its Mideast policies instead of killing Osama bin Laden and other Islamic terrorists.

Remember when someone made that suggestion to Rudy?

Sterling Management (above link over the men's names) also runs a charitable foundation.

Muslims are ordained to practice regular charitable giving in the form of Zakah (wealth tax), bequest and Sadaqah.

Payment of Zakah is obligatory (2:3, 43, 100, 177, 195, 254, 277) and is due on current year's gross income (before taxes) less Nisab (essential needs for a lunar year) and on income on savings and investments. Bequest (through a will "wassiyyah") is limited to 1/3 of the assets to be conveyed upon death, only to non-inheritors. Sadaqah (gift) is given by one living person to another as the Prophet (SAW) has encouraged: "Exchange gifts among yourselves and thus strengthen mutual love with one another."

No indication is given as to what charities have been chosen by the fund.

$100,000 cartoon contest!!

Remember when this was the kind of thing you'd find at the back of a newsprint magazine, offering you the chance to draw Woody Woodpecker or Betty Boop for a $25 prize and a cartooning instruction book? Geez, I remember stuff like that at the back of my Archie comics when I was little.

Times have changed, though, and $25 doesn't buy quite as many Sea Monkeys as it used to. Nowadays a book of art instruction goes for more than that! Heck, you'd be lucky if you could buy 5 Archie comics!

Now the cartoon prizes are much bigger, and the rules have changed. No longer do you submit your attempt along with a proof of purchase and a $1 entry fee. No, now you have to go out and slaughter another artist like a lamb.

The purported head of al-Qaeda in Iraq has offered a reward for the murder of a Swedish cartoonist over his drawing depicting the Prophet Muhammad.

The $100,000 (£49,310) reward would be raised by 50% if Lars Vilks was "slaughtered like a lamb" said the audio message aired on the internet.

The speaker, said to be Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, threatened a new offensive during the holy month of Ramadan.

Last month's cartoon showed Prophet Muhammad's head on a dog's body.

Several Muslim countries protested.

Hmmm... wasn't more than two or three years ago that the Religion of Peace was telling us that violence during the "Holy Month of Ramadan" was haram, or verboten. I guess they noticed we weren't buying into that bullshit, dropped the charade, and went back to what they do best: Threats and killings.

But Saturday's taped message said the militants were announcing a "call to shed the blood of the Lars who dared to insult our Prophet".

"During this generous month we announce an award worth $100,000 to the person who kills this infidel criminal," the speaker said.

He also announced a $50,000 reward for the killing of the editor of the newspaper.

Yup, Islam is a generous religion indeed.

Another Idle Tuesday

Except today it's raining. I'm glad. I always flinch when the sky is that particular shade of blue, as if it is a personal affront. I'm glad it's raining today.

Instead of wasting our time thinking about Osama's fake beard and Democratic talking points, let's remember a Canadian who lost his life that day: Ken Basnicki.

Scottish Dhimmitude

Scottish doctors won't be eating at their desks during Ramadan.

DOCTORS and health workers have been banned from eating lunch at their desks - in case it offends their Muslim colleagues.

Health chiefs believe the sight of food will upset Muslim workers when they are celebrating the religious festival Ramadan.

The lunch trolley is also to be wheeled out of bounds as the 30-day fast begins next month.

Scottish. Doctors. What the hell is going on in this world? Muslim doctors try to blow up Glasgow International, and suddenly you can't have a chopped egg sandwich at your desk between patients lest you offend them?? We have fallen through the looking glass, haven't we?

He added: "The idea is to get faith in the workplace out in the open."

OK, maybe I'll try that. I'll put up a great big bloody gruesome crucifix at my desk at the office and see how long it's allowed to remain... Any bets?

Sooner or later, the Muslims will have their way in Scotland, and there will be casualties resulting from it. I only hope the doctors who have to treat those casualties had time to grab a bite to eat in secret, so they can focus on saving lives that the kith and kin of their coworkers (or in the case of the last attempt - actual coworkers) tried to destroy.

Canada not enforcing its own laws against terror

Hezbollah is recognized as a terror organization by Canada, and is strictly prohibited. Well, maybe not strictly...

A billboard in Windsor, Ontario

Printed in English on the left side of the billboard are the words: "Lebanese and Arab communities in Windsor city congratulate the Lebanese people for their steadfastness and endeavor to establish peace in Lebanon."

But Nabbout said that Arabic writing which appears on the right side of the billboard does not match the English translation. According to Nabbout, the Arabic writing makes a reference to fighting.

"What they mean by 'fight' is basically 'guerrilla' - using arms and weapons," Nabbout said. "Basically, there is a very specific word... That is a definite difference between the Arabic and the English."

You can contact the Mayor of Windsor, Eddie Francis (The mayor's name is Eddie? Oh Christ. WWII would never have happened if Mr. and Mrs. Hitler had named their son "Skip". You know why? Cause no one takes Skip - or Eddie - very seriously.) here:

Suddenly, blond highlights are a crime

Four men have been found guilty of plotting to bomb London's transport network on 21 July 2005.

Muktar Ibrahim, 29, Yassin Omar, 26, Ramzi Mohammed, 25, and Hussain Osman, 28, were convicted at Woolwich Crown Court of conspiracy to murder.

The men had tried to detonate rucksacks laden with explosives on the Tube and a bus, killing themselves and passengers.

****

The guilty four, who were all born in East Africa and came to the UK in the 1990s, stocked up on large quantities of hydrogen peroxide from hairdressing suppliers, ahead of 21 July 2005.

Omar's eighth-floor flat in New Southgate, north London, was turned into a bomb factory.

How can they be guilty of terror? Islam is such a peaceful religion. I'm sure these men just wanted to give everyone nice summer highlights...

All this over a knighthood?

Well, looks like the Religion of Peace(tm) has gone completely off their nut in the UK, most likely using the excuse of SIR Salman Rushdie's knighthood as an excuse for their violence.

In addition to the foiled plots in Haymarket on Friday (well done to the eagle-eyes of the ambulance crew who spotted the suspicious car packed with explosives), Glasgow Airport - my very last scene of Scotland before Mr. Right and I moved back to Canada - was attacked by some rank amateurs yesterday.

Allah is Greatest, huh? I beg to differ.

Religion of Peace murders father & daughter in California

They don't just spread their hate throughout the Middle East, and they don't just hate those involved in the war in Iraq.

A man held for questioning in the murder of a father and daughter in California was upset with the family because they broke off his relationship with another daughter for religious reasons, court documents indicated.

Friends told the Orange County Register newspaper the victims were devoutly Hindu, and court papers said the religions in question were Hindu and Muslim.

Iftekhar Murtaza, 22, of Los Angeles was arrested on a fugitive warrant Saturday at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Arizona, and was being held on Wednesday without bail.

The Hindu victims were stabbed, strangled, burned, and their bodies were left on a hiking trail outside Irvine, California.

[T]he girl's mother, Leela Dhanak, 53, was found badly beaten and unconscious in a yard outside.

She was expected to recover.

Another daughter, Shayona, 18, was in her dormitory room at the University of California, Irvine, when the attack occurred and was placed under police protection.

This is the religion we let into our country day after day, and CAIR and others try to convince us that they're just like us. They are not. They are brutal monsters, and the sooner we can abolish the religion of Islam the better. I do not need social reprogramming to become more tolerant - they do. Let's rescue them from their disgusting sex/death cult. Maybe then they'll have a chance to live side by side with other religions and cultures without resorting to murder.

In the meantime, though it shouldn't need to be said, keep your goddam daughters away from these animals.

Peaceful Religious Sect plots to blow up JFK Airport

Islam, the Religion of Peace, has sent forth a bunch more of their smite-all-Jews-and-infidels holy warriors in a plot to blow up the jet fuel lines at JFK. As a gesture of peace to their fellow man, no doubt.

In all, four individuals, including the former Guyana parliament member, Abdul Kadir, and Russell Defreitas, a U.S. citizen and native of Guyana who worked as an airport cargo worker, have been charged with conspiring to attack JFK.

Also in custody are Kareem Ibrahim, a citizen of Trinidad held in Trinidad, and Abdel Nur, a citizen of Guyana. The United States is planning to seek their extradition.

The complaint adds that an informant and Defreitas discussed the war in Lebanon in August 2006 and agreed, "Muslims always incur the wrath of the world while the Jews get a pass."

That's because Muslims keep blowing people up, which incurs our wrath. Jews become doctors. That doesn't piss us off so much.

This particular job had a Caribbean connection, which is new. We're accustomed to North Africans and Arabians. But think of how easy it is for Island blacks to fit in with American immigrant culture. In Toronto, it seems half our city is Jamaican. I have friends in Montreal and Toronto from Trinidad. They are like us. We lower our guard when it comes to terrorism, because we're accustomed to interacting with them daily. And now we have to look askance and investigate just how many terrorist ties there are to the Islands.

Who wants to bet me five blue Canadian dollars that the Flying Imam case suddenly disappears? Anyone?

Love can make you do crazy things

Especially if the guy you're in love with is some psychotic Allah-loving jihad motherfucker.

Jill Courtney, 27, was "obsessed" with Hussan Kalache, who had promised to marry her if she carried out a "mission", police said in a statement presented in court.

They said she had Kalache's name and prison number tattooed "over various parts of her body," and that he had wanted Courtney to "prove her love to him by undertaking a 'mission' before he would commit to marriage."

Her mission was to blast a car bomb in Sydney's nightclub district. Like Bali.

Hormones can make us do crazy things. Love clouds our judgment (honey, I've been there). But a car bomb? Jill, did you ever stop to think that maybe he wasn't the guy for you?

I hope we're doing this, too

But somehow I doubt we are. I hate to think Europe is ahead of us on this. Then again, their problem is more pressing than ours.

Security officials from Europe's largest countries backed a plan Saturday to profile mosques on the continent and identify radical Islamic clerics who raise the threat of homegrown terrorism.

The project, to be finished by the fall, will focus on the roles of imams, their training, their ability to speak in the local language and their sources of funding, EU Justice and Home Affairs Commissioner Franco Frattini told a news conference after a meeting on terrorism.

Mr. Right and I were talking about the idea last night, and trying to figure out how best to infiltrate a mosque. If Islam teaches its adherents to lie to the infidel, how can we trust someone calling themselves "moderate" to go information-gathering for us? And obviously you can't stick a red-headed Irish guy in there and call him a Muslim without him having to prove his street-cred. A (pretend) new convert isn't going to be privy to the real fire-and-brimstone-smite-them-at-the-neck stuff. So short of wiretapping, how do you infiltrate a mosque?

Six men arrested for plotting to attack Fort Dix

Shockingly - shockingly, I tell ya - they were all Muslim. Wow.

Six foreign-born Muslims were arrested and accused Tuesday of plotting to attack the army's Fort Dix and massacre scores of U.S. soldiers, a plot investigators say was foiled when the men took a video of themselves firing assault weapons to a store to have the footage put onto a DVD.
Three of them were illegal aliens (Oops, sorry. I meant "undocumented workers").

"It doesn't matter to me whether I get locked up, arrested or get taken away," Serdar Tatar was quoted as saying. "Or I die, it doesn't matter. I'm doing it in the name of Allah."
This is what we're fighting: an enemy who wants to die for their devil-god. A false religion, a cult of sex and death, from a false desert prophet. A Religion of Pieces.

Will we ever learn?

Journalists are now afraid of Palestinians

What the hell took them so long to catch on? The mainstream media has always been anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian, and playing the woe-to-the-poor-uprooted-Palestinians violins all the damn time. But now that it looks like one of their own may never return from the clutches of evil in Gaza, the press may have finally cottoned on to the fact that Muslims can't be trusted.

"Up until now there has always been the assumption that there will be protection from the Palestinian authority or from Arabic and Islamic customs on treating guests. Now that trust is gone."

Isn't there a fable that goes something like this?

Pentagon lays new charges against Khadr

The U.S. Defence Department laid new terrorism charges Tuesday against Canadian Omar Khadr, paving the way for a long-delayed military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay.

Khadr, 20, who has been in U.S. military custody since he was 15 years old, is accused of murdering an American medic in Afghanistan in 2002. He also faces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy, spying and providing material support for terrorism.

I hope Canada finally gets the balls to deal with the whole damn Khadr family, instead of letting them live on welfare and give interviews like celebrities. They are not celebrities - they are vile, evil locusts feeding on the jizya we pay.

Fun for the whole family!

A PRO-TERROR hate film that urges children to martyr themselves in Islam's war on the West and calls Jews "pigs" has been rated PG by Australia's censors.

Sheik Feiz Mohammed's DVD box set, which also calls for the murder of non-believers, was initially seized by Federal anti-terror police.

But the Office of Film and Literature Classification has ruled that The Death Series is suitable to be bought and watched by children.

Remember kiddies, Muslims are just like us, and we have nothing to fear from them. They are a Religion of Peace.....

The films urge parents to make their children holy warriors and martyrs, and praises jihad as the pinnacle of Islam.

The radical sheik makes snorting noises on the films as he vilifies Jews as the "army of pigs".

He blames a lack of courage for martyrdom on the battlefield for the "humiliation" of Muslims in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Guantanamo.

Muslims arrested for anti-Jewish hate-crimes in Montreal: Can-CAIR makes a funny

Two Russian Muslims were arrested for firebombing a Jewish community center and for plotting kidnapping and armed robbery. The Canadian arm of CAIR goes for the amusing and over-used Religion of Peace routine:

Sarah Elgazzar, of the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations, expressed dismay the accused are Muslims and hoped that fact wouldn't increase the animosity between the Jewish and Muslim communities in Montreal.

"Religiously speaking, Jews and Muslims should be so close," she said. "Sure, there are differences, and there are problems in other parts of the world, but that doesn't justify these kinds of attacks.

"Most Muslims would never even think of doing something like that; it’s horrible."

Religion of Peace - The White Guys

While we're busy arguing over whether or not to racially profile, these guys will be murdering us.

Police in southern Serbia's Sandzak region last month arrested six local Muslims and accused them of belonging to a fundamentalist Wahhabi sect - an austere brand of Sunni Islam promoted by extremists, including the Taliban, Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaida fighters.

Recently leaked Western intelligence reports allege that the tense, impoverished area, along with Muslim-dominated regions in neighboring Bosnia, are rich ground for recruiting so-called "white al-Qaida" - Muslims with Western features who could easily blend into European or U.S. cities and carry out attacks.

Al-Qaida and other radical Islamic groups, the reports warn, may be trying to increase their influence in the Muslim-populated regions in the southern Europe to penetrate deeper into the continent.

Many of us have seen this coming for a while. I only hope that the FBI, RCMP, DHS and others have also been tracking it.

I had to shake my head the other day when a colleague was talking about a friend of hers, and how "old world" and "traditional" he was. I asked her if he was Muslim. Her answer?

No, he's Serbian!

Honey, that wasn't what I asked.

I admit, it's easier to keep my eye on the brown men with the beards on the subway platform. It's easier for the cops to do it, too. And while we're doing that, some white Mohammed in a three piece suit is pulling a cord on his briefcase.

We're just not safe anywhere so long as we have Islam, and allow it in our midst.

Those Wacky Christians!

Always so threatening...

The head of a national, Texas-based pro-family group says a recent hostage drill at a New Jersey high school, which portrayed conservative Christians as terrorists, is reflective of a dangerous philosophy that has become prevalent in many parts of America, where it is having negative effects on education.

A local paper reports that a drill at Burlington Township High School in New Jersey involved police portraying mock gunmen, described as "members of a right-wing fundamentalist group called the 'New Crusaders' who don't believe in the separation of church and state." The fake gunmen were said to have been "seeking justice because the daughter of one [member] had been expelled for praying before class."

Yup, we better prepare for those marauding Crusaders. Because, ya know, they'll go after schoolkids first, instead of - oh, I dunno - Muslim Jihadis. What a bunch of PC horseshit. If they wanted to stage a "terror" drill, why didn't they use what's in the news every day? Or is that too real and politically incorrect?

Charles Johnson catches on to something I actually LIVED

Charles at LGF posts that Montreal is a hotbed of terrorist financing and planning. Babe, whatever you're reading in the papers, you don't know the half of it. I watched it happening at a time before 9/11, when no one thought twice about such things. Two words, Charles: Import/export. Those are the businesses they set up when they come to Canada, and that's how they are able to move large sums of money back and forth to the Middle East without scrutiny. Until now, that is. Thankfully.

You want to see real terrorist planning? Check out the communities living in Laval. These are the real financiers, in their big houses, in their little enclaves, doing business with Canadians and then going home to plot against us.

When the raids come to Montreal, look for the words "rounded up in a community just North of Montreal". That's Laval. Mark my words.

I did it! It was me! Me! Me!

From EM comes an excellent post on things Khalid Shaikh Mohammed confessed to:

*Assembling an international coalition of terrorists, murderers and thugs
*Crocs shoes
*The Cory Kennedy-CobraSnake breakup
*Casting Hayden Christiansen in Star Wars
*Trying to steal Whitney Houston away from both Bobby Brown AND Osama
*Changing Martha Stewart's stock information
*Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.
*Insane Clown Posse and their entire, unwashed fan base
*Being the inspiration for A Million Little Pieces

And a whole lot more.

There was no historical precedent for 9/11, either

But there is one for Belsan.

Suspected members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said, "Parents and children have nothing to fear."

Asked about the alert notice, the FBI’s Rich Kolko said, "There are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern," although law enforcement agencies around the country were asked to watch out for kids' safety.

Be afraid.

St. Pancake

Linda has a roundup of girls named Rachel murdered by Palestinians in Israel. Why? Because the brainwashed are busy canonizing the idiot Rachel Corrie - AKA St. Pancake.

Who knows. Maybe someday I'll be crossing the street in downtown Toronto, busy traffic, not looking both ways, and I'll be hit by an Iranian cab driver. And maybe someone will decide to celebrate me for being an idiot, and punish all Iranian cab drivers around the world for the misfortune that befell me when I walked in front of a cab. Why not? If someone can walk in front of a steamroller and be celebrated as a hero, surely the same applies to anyone who does something stupid in a dangerous situation?

On this day three years ago, 191 innocent people were murdered in the name of Allah while they were on their way to work in Madrid. That is Islam. That is the religion of Allah and the Prophet Mohammed.

Remember.

We just didn't get it

Back then it was a random act of violence - obviously well planned, but random nonetheless. Those we counted on for information - our leaders, our press - let us down by not assisting us in linking the events. Those of us who were young, or ininvolved didn't bother making the connection. Munich. The Iran hostage taking. And on this day in 1993, the bombing of the World Trade Center.

It would take nearly nine years for those buildings to come down at the hands of the same people before we would finally start linking together all the news events that shaped our lives for the previous twenty or thirty years. The bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The murder of 14 girls at Montreal's Ecole Polytechnique. The genocide in Rwanda. The genocide in Darfur.

All of these events may seem unconnected, but there is an underlying cause at the root of all of them: Islam. The ummah, or global Islamic village. Hatred of the west and what we stand for. A burning desire to bring us to heel; to make us submit.

Even now, our press is hesitant to call a spade a spade or a terrorist a terrorist. We have this bogeyman of Al Qaeda, and we blame them for everything. "...has links to Al Qaeda..." "...was associated with Al Qaeda...." They want us to believe that a half-dead desert zealot is responsible for all the evil in the world, without admitting that he's telling us the truth. Islam preaches our murder. Islam will take over. Demands are made in the name if Islam. So much easier to blame one man - be it Bin Laden or Bush - than it is to face the real disease. Islam.

The Fashion Police

No, this isn't about Britney's ill-advised brush cut. It's about yet another Islamic religious fanatic deciding that if some chick doesn't have her head covered, she ought to have a bullet in it.

Police said the bearded lone attacker, identified as Mohammad Sarwar, approached the minister as party activists threw rose petals at her, took out his pistol and shot her in the head.

Local police officer Nazir Ahmad said: "He killed her because she was not observing the Islamic code of dress. She was also campaigning for emancipation of women.

Dirtbag. But remember: his religion taught him this. His mother and father made sure he learned his religious lessons - like so many other Muslim families. When the word of your Holy Book is KILL, you learn to kill.

It is not a religion that can live alongside civilized society. It must be branded as the cult that it is, and its followers re-taught to embrace life. No, they don't have to become Christians or Jews or Scientologists (while we're on the subject of nutter cults). They can become a New Islam. Better than before, without the hatred and murder and cancerous ideology. For that is what Islam is: A cancerous ideology that chooses death over life, and murder for a shot at Paradise. Apologists must cease to apologize, and moderates must learn to speak up. And until they do, I will continue to hold the magnifying glass over this most despicable culture.

Religion of Peace Mows Down Students in Nashville

The news that the MSM doesn't want you to know. There's nary a story to be found on this - luckily Robert Spencer picked it up at Jihad Watch.

Two students visiting from Ohio were coming from a bar downtown when they got into an argument with their driver over religion, said police. After they paid the driver he allegedly ran them down in a parking lot.

Ibrihim Ahmned, of United Cab, was arrested and charged with assault, attempted homicide and theft. One of the passengers, Andrew Nelson, managed to outrun the cab but Jeremy Invus was taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries, said police.

Here's a tip, people. When you call a taxi, let the dispatcher know you're travelling with a guide dog or something. The hard-core Muslims won't take your fare, and they'll send a white guy to pick you up. No fuss, no muss, no Muslim. The safer way to travel - especially for women. Also means that Mohammed or Ahmed or whomever won't have your fare dollars to send back home to the sand-pit they were born in to fund global terrorism.

This travel tip brought to you by the one-woman counter-Jihad machine: RightGirl.

Egyptian MP: Nothing will work with Israel except nuclear bomb

So I guess having Egypt assist with the ceasefire/peace talks is kinda out of the question...

"That cursed Israel is trying to destroy al-Aqsa mosque," Mohammed el-Katatny of President Hosni Mubarak's National Democratic Party (NDP) told a heated parliament session held to discuss the Israeli digging.

Sounds just like our NDP here in Canada, but I digress....

"Nothing will work with Israel except for a nuclear bomb that wipes it out of existence," he said.

Lovely folk. Religion of Peace, you know. Very peaceful. In 1400 years they've yet to peacefully coexist with any other culture, but it's not their fault. It's all those other pesky cultures, dontcha know. If we would just give up and give in, pay the jizya, we'd be fine! Really!

Hat tip to Jihad Watch.

Since there's nothing to watch this evening....

...I thought I might do a bit of blogging.

The girls were passing around this link earlier today, and it's truly bone-chilling.

Try to imagine a Belsan in your own neighborhood.

Probably the last place you want to think of terrorists striking is your kids’ school. But according to two trainers at an anti-terrorism conference on the East Coast, preparations for attacks on American schools that will bring rivers of blood and staggering body counts are well underway in Islamic terrorist camps.

The article is very long, but even if you only skim it you will be left with an uneasy feeling every time you send your kids off to school.

At least terrorism is exciting!

As opposed to cricket, in which even the players have time to take naps.

Sporting his pristine cricket whites, this is one of the suspects in the alleged terror plot to behead a soldier.

Amateur cricketer Zahoor Iqbal was known among teammates as "The Terminator" for his ability to demolish opponents at the wicket.

The 29-year-old teacher was a star player for a local team, happily joining fellow players at the bar after weekend victories.

Yesterday, Mr Iqbal's friends described their astonishment that the "very Westernised" father-of-one had been arrested.

He was detained on Wednesday along with eight other men over claims they had planned to behead a British Muslim soldier and film his execution for the Internet.

As usual, people are coming out with the whole "he seemed like such a normal guy" jazz, but then again, their religion teaches them to lie to infidels.

I wonder if there will be time for the bulk of humanity to realize that Islam teaches murder, and that it is in our midst through our own suicidal invitation. I wonder if there will be time to stop it.

I think their "grip on realility" was already missing....

Abdul Helil Mamut's good behavior earned him a spot in a medium-security compound at the Guantanamo Bay prison, where he slept in a barracks, shared leisurely meals with other prisoners and could spend more than half the day in an outdoor recreation area.

But in December, the detainee was among dozens transferred from Camp 4 to the maximum-security Camp 6, the newest section of Guantanamo Bay's military prison.

Now Mamut, an ethnic Uighur from China captured in Pakistan, spends all but two hours a day isolated in his cell. He eats and prays by himself. His only recreation comes in a concrete courtyard surrounded by high walls, separated from other prisoners by a chain-link fence.

Oh sad. Life harsh at a prison set up for terror suspects? Oh the horror!

I desperately want to see the inside of Gitmo; want to spend a couple of weeks "working" there with my cat o'nine tails in hand, but Mr. Right keeps muttering something about conventions and international incidents. Whatever. Anyway...

Wells Dixon, who also represents Uighurs held at Guantanamo, predicted the lack of human interaction in Camp 6 will cause detainees to lose their grip on reality.

"It will very soon become an insane asylum," he told The Associated Press in a phone interview after he returned from the base in January.

Hahaha! Mr. Dixon, we're talking about a facility filled with people who want to murder in the name of a false prophet. I don't think you have to worry about their reality slipping more than it already has. And as for it being an insane asylum, I couldn't agree more. Anyone who adheres to such a blood-soaked, subjugating, evil "religion" needs to have their head examined. I say we keep 'em there in the name of science, to see what makes 'em tick.

When the first detainees arrived in the new unit in December, they found on their bunks two pieces of baklava - a sweet pastry common in the Middle East - to welcome them to their new quarters, according to one prison official.

Oh, that's harsh! Terrible! Call the UN!!

Originally, Camp 6 was going to be more like Camp 4, with detainees allowed to congregate in a common area and share meals. But the commander of the detention center, Navy Rear Adm. Harry B. Harris, said that plan changed after 10 detainees attacked guards in Camp 4 last May and three prisoners committed suicide in June in Camp 1.

Please refer to earlier "insane asylum" comment.

Australian Lebs celebrate rapists on YouTube, educators fault parents

A YouTube video that glorifies notorious gang rapist Bilal Skaf shows there's a small, antagonistic sub-section within the Lebanese Muslim community, Prime Minister John Howard says.

Mr Howard today described the video as a "shocking exercise".

"It's a reminder that there is undoubtedly within a section, a small section, of the Lebanese Muslim community a group of people who are antagonistic to the values and the way of life in this country," Mr Howard told the Nine Network. [emphasis mine]

Other videos from the user - formerly known as DaBoyz123 - have been removed from YouTube.

A spokesman for the Education Department said that, based on the footage provided to it, there was no indication that the video had been created by a current student.

However, he said teachers at Granville Boys High School would still be asked to examine scenes from the video when they returned to school next Tuesday to determine if any current students featured in it.

Parents should be vigilant about their children's use of the internet, he said. [emphasis mine]

Parents, who read the Koran instead of Mother Goose to their little children, raising them to be killers and haters. Parents who milk the systems of civilized countries, and tell their children daily that they should take over the world by use of force. Those parents. Those parents should more closely monitor their progeny's use of the Internet.

In another two-part video posted by the same user, a man, described in the video as a "junkey" (sic), is spat on and kicked in a park.

In a written explanation of the attack, daboyz123 says it is "revenge for being Jewish, lebo 4 life".

"the breeze of the winds of conquest have started to blow [you up]"

Algerians have been urged to join the jihad.

Abu Musab Abdul Wadud, the Emir of the Salafist Group for Call and Combat [GSPC], a terrorist group in Algeria which allied with al-Qaeda, is featured in a 22:36 minute video issued by the GSPC today, Monday, January 8, 2007, including an Arabic-language transcript. The speech, "We are Coming," spoken by Wadud and dated January 3, 2007, contains three messages: one directed to the Emir of al-Qaeda, Usama bin Laden, another to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and the third to Muslim Algerian people. Predominant across the message is a palpable anger towards not only Bouteflika, but America and France for encroaching upon Algeria culturally, militarily, and politically. Wadud also focuses in each address to what he terms as "theft" by foreign companies of Algerian natural gas and oil, placing this within the broader charge of the enemy subjugating Muslims, forcing them into poverty, and attacking their religion. He also requests of bin Laden instructions for the "next stage".

Guess we have to put them on our "to bomb" list after Iran.... or maybe we'll just bomb France. I think there's more Algerians there than there are in Algeria!

Behold the peace of Islam

A British Muslim called for American and Danish people to be murdered, at a protest against cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad, a court has heard.

Umran Javed, 27, of Washwood Heath Road, Birmingham, took part in the event on 3 February last year after the cartoons were published in Denmark.

Remember, this was over cartoons.

"He said disbelievers would pay a heavy price...and said Denmark would pay with blood," said Mr Perry.

Mr Javed allegedly told his audience to take lessons from the murder of a Dutch film director, who was murdered and the slaughter of Jews.

The defendant allegedly said: "Bomb, bomb Denmark. Bomb, bomb USA."

And Mr Perry claimed the crowd responded to these calls with similar calls and chants.

Religion of Peace, indeed.

Religion of Peace rings in Thai New Year with a blast

At least six bomb blasts rocked the Thai capital late Sunday, killing at least two people and prompting the city to cancel its major New Year's Eve celebrations just as revellers had begun to gather ahead of the countdown.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the bombings, which capped a year of unrest in Thailand, including a military coup three months ago and a mounting Muslim insurgency in its southernmost provinces.

Remember that tonight as you're donning your party clothes and heading out to the nearest nightclub. Keep repeating to yourself There is no terrorist threat. It keeps the champagne from going bitter...

Better Than the World Cup

Get ready, sports fans. It's time for the annual Running of the Mohammedans at Hajj! Have you placed your Body Count bets? Do you have your televisions tuned to BBC, or Al Jazeera, or some other Islamic station? This is more exciting than the World Cup, bloodier than hockey - a fight to the death to see how many robed zealots can throw rocks at an icon of Satan at one time before being crushed to death. To me, this is like extreme fighting, Mike Tyson, Pamploma, the Stanley Cup and Las Vegas all rolled into one! All this while worshipping a black cube (which sounds more like something the Scientologists would do).

Last year, 360 people were trampled to death (this never happens at the Vatican, even when hundreds of thousands showed up for the Pope John Paul II vigil and funeral). The year before, it was 250 (never happens at Lourdes). 1990 was an exciting year, when 1426 pilgrims were killed (I've never heard of this happening at the Temple Mount).

The BBC keeps a gruesome tally here. Wiki has one here. Anyone want to place bets for this year? I'm putting it in the 175 range. Do I have any takers? Anyone? I'll bet a roast pork dinner...

Margaret Wente on Germany's "prophet"

A friend pointed out Wente's column to me this morning, about Dr. Bassam Tibi of Germany (after being run out of Syria).

Bassam Tibi is an unabashed alarmist. He is among Germany's foremost political scientists, and an expert on political Islam. And he says that even now -- after 9/11, after Madrid, after 7/7, and all the rest of it -- the European elites don't have a clue what they are up against.

"Europeans don't know what Islamism is," he argues. "We are talking about a new totalitarianism. And Islamists are establishing themselves in Europe with great success." They thrive, thanks to Europe's tolerance of the intolerable.

Dr. Tibi, a Muslim born in Syria, is persona non grata there.

He's not too popular in Germany either, where he has been accused of inciting Islamophobia. "It is most disturbing to see how writers who try to warn about the totalitarian character of Islamism are defamed as racists," he says. "This wrong-headed political correctness prevents any honest discussion about the subject."

He knows from which he speaks, and still he is ignored. His solution? He's heading for the United States.

Read the whole article - it's very enlightening (and a little scary, too).

Christian convert martyred in India

Two Muslim fundamentalists have killed a Christian who converted from Islam around 10 years ago. Bashir Ahmad Tantray was murdered in broad daylight as he chatted with Muslim friends in his village, Mamoosa, in Baramulla district. He leaves behind a wife and four children, two girls and two boys.

Ghulam Rasool Tantray, his cousin, said: "Two militants enquired about the public transport system. As soon as my cousin finished talking, they killed him." The two militants fled the scene on their motorbike.

After his conversion, Bashir dedicated himself enthusiastically to social projects and to evangelization in the area with an evangelical group. Shortly after he changed his religion, he had received threats against his life and escaped from his village, returning years later.

It is the first time that a Christian convert has been murdered in the northern state, although violence against local Christians has been on the rise for some time. Around two years ago, some Muslim militants threw grenades at the missionary school of Pulwama, while last July, a car bomb damaged another Christian school.

This in itself is hard enough to accept, but the truly sad part is at the end of the news story:

The victim did not have a Christian burial: for fear of further violence, he was buried according to Muslim rites near his home.

Not even afforded a burial according to his beliefs, his body was subjected to the rites of the faith he left behind. That takes "kicking a man when he's down" to a whole new level.

Hat tip to ROP

It's ok in real life, but scary in a video game...

Too funny. The world is crumbling around our ears while we concede more and more to pro-Islamic, pro-Sharia groups who want to establish a global caliphate, but dammit, a video game about wacky Christians is downright scary. You know, like America is scary, or Stephen Harper is scary.

A Christian video game has become the latest battleground in America's "culture" wars, with its maker claiming it promotes prayer while critics charge it carries a message of violent religious intolerance.

"Left Behind: Eternal Forces," is a teen-rated PC strategy game based on the wildly popular Left Behind Christian book series. Set in New York City after millions of Christians have been transported to heaven, its players are charged with recruiting, and converting, an army that will engage in physical and spiritual warfare with the Antichrist and his evil followers.

Yesterday, a U.S. advocacy group that monitors right-wing religious activities called on retail giant Wal-Mart to pull the game from its shelves.

Critics describe it as "a violent video game in which born-again Christians aim to convert or kill those who don't adhere to their extreme ideology."

Again, let me point out: It's not okay in a game, but it's totally okay in real life? War games and games with pimps and ho's are fine, but Christains are a bad influence.

This, of course, is according to liberals and faux Christains. From the Talk To Action website:

Talk to Action is a platform for reporting on, learning about, and analyzing and discussing the religious right -- and what to do about it.

There is an editorial framework for this site than that is different than you will find on other major blog sites, so please read this carefully: We are pro-religious equality and pro-separation of church and state. We are prochoice, and we support gay and lesbian civil rights -- including marriage equality. Therefore, debates about the validity of abortion and gay rights are off topic.

We understand that some people who share our general concern about the politics of the Christian Right may not agree on all of these matters. That's fine. Anyone who agrees with the general mission of this site is welcome to participate -- but bearing this in mind.

It is our intention to take the conversation forward, and not let it be held back by debating what, in our view are or should be, settled matters of human, civil and constitutional rights. Similarly, religious debates are off topic, especially debates between theism and atheism. Finally, we are nonpartisan. While political discussions are welcome, -- even central to the purpose of this site -- we do not wish the site itself to be a platform that is necessarily for or opposed to any particular party.

Uh huh. We're Christian, but whatever you do, DON'T talk to us about God! What a joke. Only a liberal could be afraid of Ned Flanders with a gun, instead of worrying about the very real likelihood that soon there will be no gays, or rights for women, or anything else they've come to love so much.

The Shakedown

If it weren't such a politically incorrect hot-button issue, someone would use it to make a great Matt Damon movie:

Five of six Muslim imams who were taken off a US Airways flight in Minneapolis last month want an out-of-court settlement from the airline for the ordeal.

First the press exposure, then the settlement demand. Sick.

Repeat after me: There is no terrorist threat...

Acting on more than a year of surveillance, police commandos in the Spanish African enclave of Ceuta arrested at least 11 suspected Islamic militants Tuesday, saying the men had moved from "fanatic discussions" to concrete plans to carry out attacks.

The men - 10 Spaniards and a Moroccan - were detained in pre-dawn raids and included two brothers of a former detainee at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Police said the operation was ongoing, and more arrests were expected.

The suspects were believed to be aligned with the Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group, according to Spanish news reports. Members of the extremist organization have been linked to the 2004 train attacks in Madrid and bombings in Casablanca in 2003. Two other suspected members of the group were arrested in November in Melilla, another Spanish enclave on the African coast.

I am imagining the threat because I am unenlightened and bigoted. There is no terrorist threat. Please pass the kool-aid...

Palestinian children murdered by the Joooos. Wait no, the Amerikkans did it. Wait, no, it was...

...other Palestinains.

Three children of a leading Hamas critic were killed in a drive-by shooting today, raising fears of an escalation in Palestinian infighting.
Palestinian gunmen in two vehicles fired up to 60 bullets into the car of Baha Balousheh, a senior intelligence officer loyal to the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, as it passed through a street crowded with schoolchildren in Gaza City.

Security officials said they believed Mr Balousheh, who was not in the car, had been the target of an assassination attempt, noting that the car had blacked-out windows which blocked any view of passengers. The seats, school bags and a plastic bag with a sandwich in it were splattered with blood.

Three of Mr Balousheh's children, aged between six and 10, and an adult passerby were killed, hospital officials said. Another four people were wounded in the shooting in Palestine Street, which is lined with nine schools. Children dropped to the ground or fled screaming during the attack.

Hamas has assassinated small children from their own land. Because their father was a critic of Hamas.

One of the boys had ten bullet wounds to the head.

Halliburton Evil: Religion of Peace

One man has died and nine others have been injured in a roadside bomb attack beside two buses carrying oil company workers in Algeria.
The dead man was said to be Algerian. The nine hurt included three Britons, an American, a Canadian and a Lebanese.

The buses were carrying employees of Brown & Root Condor, a company linked to US construction giant Halliburton.

Halliburton is evil for throwing money into impoverished and backward Islamic countries. No, really. I truly believe that. Down with Halliburton. If they would stop putting money into the Middle East and North Africa, then there would be no money for Jihad. Stupid Halliburton.

Statistics

Hi, I'm Mr. Right.

Forget history, forget motivations, forget what this passage actually means versus how differing people will interpret it, forget who caused what so many decades or centuries ago - forget all that academic bollocks for just one day.

Actions speak louder than words.

Answer this (and please do, because I don't know the answer myself): In the last day, from 0:00 GMT on the 7th December 2006 to 23:59 GMT on the 7th December 2006, how many attacks and attrocities on people and properties were committed by people claiming to follow the following religions/belief systems (in alphabetical order):

01) Amish
02) Baptists
03) Buddism
04) Christianity
05) Hinduism
06) Islam
07) Jedi
08) Judaism
09) Quakers
10) Shintoism
11) Sikhism
12) Taoism

Winner is the one with the lowest count. Loser is the one with the highest count, and all members thereof will be asked to leave the planet.

P.S. Yes, I do know that some of these are "splinter groups" of others, but I consider them seperate. After all, I'm fairly certian they do too.

Religion of Peace: Say your prayers!

Just when you think Islam couldn't get any more barbaric...

Shops, tea houses and other public places in Bulo Burto, about 124 miles northeast of the capital, Mogadishu, should be closed during prayer time and no one should be on the streets, said Sheik Hussein Barre Rage, the chairman of the town's Islamic court. His court is part of a network backed by armed militiamen that has taken control of much of southern Somalia in recent months, bringing a strict interpretation of Islam that is alien to many Somalis.

Those who do not follow the prayer edict after three days have elapsed, "will definitely be beheaded according to Islamic law," Rage told The Associated Press by phone. "As Muslims we should practice Islam fully, not in part, and that is what our religion enjoins us to do."

The Sheik's name is Rage? There's a Muslim name you would think you'd hear more often.

Musharraf takes the high road, Islamists complain

Finally, the Hudood Ordinance has been struck down in Pakistan. Pervez Musharraf signed in an amendment getting rid of the necessity of a woman producing four male witnesses to a rape.

Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's president, has signed into law an amendment to the country's controversial rape statute to make it easier to prosecute sexual assault cases.

Musharraf signed the bill, called the Protection of Women bill, on Friday. The changes take effect immediately, Sher Afghan, federal minister for parliamentary affairs, said.

"It has been done to safeguard the rights of women," Afghan said.

Under the new law, judges can choose whether a rape case should be tried in a criminal court, where the four-witness rule - or known as the Hudood Ordinance under the old Islamic law - would not apply

It also drops the death penalty for sex outside of marriage. The offence would now be punishable with five years in prison or a fine equivalent to $165.

It's still not perfect, but for a backwards-ass country like Pakistan, it is a huge step forward. Unlike the spoiled women of Western countries, I'm sure Pakistani women know better than to push for an all-or-nothing approach. In years to come this will make a huge impact on women who have been traded as property, or who have been punished for the sins of their brothers.

International and local calls for change in Pakistan's rape laws intensified after the 2002 gang-rape of a woman, Mukhtar Mai.

Mai was assaulted after a tribal council in her eastern Punjab village ordered that she be raped as punishment for her 13-year-old brother's alleged affair with a woman of a higher caste.

But of course, since Islam truly degrades and supresses women as a main point of the religion, the hard-liners are not happy. Not that they're ever happy...

Opposition leader Qazi Hussain Ahmed, head of a six-party coalition of Islamic groups known as the Mutahida Majlis-e-Amal, or United Action Forum, said Musharraf was encouraging an alien culture at the behest of America and Western Europe.

"I call on all people to prevent Musharraf and his team from wrecking Muslim society," Ahmed told nearly 1,000 demonstrators in Rawalpindi.
