President Obama thinks it’s peachy that Michael vick was so warmly welcomed back into the NFL after torturing and killing dogs.
Tucker Carlson thinks Vick should have been “executed” for his crime.
They’re both idiots.
By embracing Vick back into the fold, the NFL has sent a message that so long as you are talented at your sport, rules do not apply to you. Kind of like the way Hollywood fêtes Roman Polanski, despite his admission of child rape. And the President of the United States is all warm and fuzzy about it. That’s not acceptable. Vick’s experience has shown that there’s little to no repercussion for doing what he did, and the President is validating that perception.
Carlson, on the other hand, is calling for the death of Michael Vick for killing dogs. Dogs. Please try to keep that in perspective, when we consider how many (black) sports stars have been on trial for rapes and even murders, with no consequence whatsoever. It breaks my heart that someone was engaged in dog fighting to the detriment of innocent animals, but a human life is worth more, and if it’s ok for sports stars to rape their groupies and murder their ex-wives, then in theory it’s perfectly fine to kill a few dogs.
The President, Tucker Carlson and all of America need to get their priorities straight over this.

Although I find dog fighting hilarious, I don’t want to be the guy to defend Michael Vick. But certain facts should be noted.
He was convicted of interstate felonies and was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison. He also forfeited his contract with the Atlanta Falcons and lost about $50 million in the process.
If you think that’s evidence “that there’s little to no repercussion for doing what he did”, I would hate to see you definition of serious repercussions. Keep in mind also that I’m amazed that dog fighting is even a federal crime. That just tells me that Congress has too much time on it’s hands.
But I can guarantee you that chuckleheads like Carlson wouldn’t be so uptight if Obama called, say, Scooter Libby’s current boss. And I remember Republicans having a rather serious issue with perjury just 12 years ago.
Vick gained back everything he lost. He’s playing pro football, making a fortune, and will soon have sponsorship deals again. Plus he has the lips of the president firmly on his ass, to keep the black-and-mexican-dog-and-chicken-fighting vote.
Carlson, on the other hand, is just useless.

While I think Tucker was a bit out of line, he is a columnist and it is kind of his job to comment on things and even provoke reaction. But Obama has a habit of getting involved in things that are not within the scope of a President – I think because he really doesn’t understand what the POTUS is actually suppose to do. And that’s a big problem!
