So the cracker down in Florida is going ahead with his Burn A Koran Day on Saturday, prompting the usual talking heads to tut-tut and the Muslims to completely lose their already tenuous grasp on sanity.

No one complained like this when flags got burned almost daily during the Bush administration. When Palestinians burned American flags, General Patraeus didn’t say things like “This will put innocent Afghans in danger, because American troops will be mad.” Of course, Americans are civilized (despite what the British think). They also know that their freedoms have an unfortunate flip side: The First Amendment gives them the right to free political expression, which means sometimes some jackass will burn a flag.

That same right is what is allowing a mosque to be built to celebrate the Muslim murder of 3000 Americans. Flip side? Burning the Koran.

The Florida pastor – whose name I cannot be bothered to remember, but his church is called Dove World – could have come out and said “Let’s burn Muslims on 9/11!” And while I would have been 100% behind him on that, the constitution doesn’t allow for it. Pity.

But I digress. If the left is going to scream about First Amendment rights to build Victory Mosques and burn flags, then they can kindly shut the fuck up about Koran Kindling.
