Busy day – here’s some links

I’ve been on the go since it was still dark out, but I’ve had some time to peruse my Google Reader on the BlackBerry. Here’s some stuff I thought was interesting:

Muslim woman refuses body scan, doesn’t get on flight

And speaking of swarthiness

Charity concerts and such have always been bullshit

Hudson Hero Sully is retiring

ACORN is corrupt – who knew?

Ok, I have to hang curtains in the living room so I can fulfill my dream of throwing out all my pants. Later!

Acorn lives in New York bigtime.

Consider all the actual “working people” who will be losing their homes to eminent domain in the near future. The downtown Brooklyn basketball arena for the New Jersey Nets is a go. This project would never have gotten off the ground had the residents in the area been classified as “low income”. Instead, those who took a rundown area and made it attractive, now will lose their homes to make way for a behemoth, “mixed income” housing and a couple hundred quota jobs.
