You singled out Catholics in your very first line and told us to shut up in the face of one of the greatest scandals in the American Church’s history. That righly pissed me off and many others. (I see that you have subsequently changed the first line. Why did you do that Wendy? To let us know you’re one of us?)

Your next line was not much better because, until you dutifully informed us that you’re “one of us”, you disrespected the Holy Family. That’s another thing that pissed me off. We’ll see if you get to do that with Muhammed when you’re under the Burka because of all of the hundreds of millions of (western) babies that have been flushed down the toilet these past 40 years. Funny how you’re all hot to go to war to push the Mullahs back, but you won’t break a nail or a sweat or hold a sign to actually join the REAL fight to save western civilization. How do you figure, Wendy? Please explain that to us. We’re dying to hear it.

Then you went on to talk about “contrived outrage”. WTF is that? “Contrived” as if to suggest we’re phony? That we’re making it up? That it’s all just part of a game? What kind of shit is that Wendy?

Then you proceeded to group the pseudo Catholics with us. That’s a real insult and shows that you don’t know WTF you are talking about.

Then you got all upset that the poor kids would have to endure real Catholic who would dare remind the students that they are honouring a man who is not only pushing the dismemberment of babies at home but abroad. And that he is going to force people to betray their consciences, like an honest-to-goodness thug. And through this, he is going to hasten the demise of the West and the free speech that you are so jealous of. I wonder, Wendy, when this whole thing shakes out and the pearls get a little tighter around all of our necks, whether you will be more subdued in your criticisms of the brave souls who would dare hold a sign and speak out. Or perhaps, we should all just be silent and polite so that the tranquility of the Great Leader and his disciples not be disturbed?

And then you said that the protesters were “embarassing Notre Dame”. Embarassing Our Lady? Is that what you are saying?

And, last but not least, you went on to compare the peace that Jesus offers to the peace at keeping silent when the “anti-Christ” speaks at His Mother’s university.

I can scarecly believe you wrote this drivel, Wendy.

You’re writing like a liberal, and with the coherency and logic of one too.

I TOTALLY agree with the sentiment expressed on Sunday – I simply think there was a better way of going about it.

For that, you wish to effectively excommunicate me. Well done. You have proved my point for me. My point being that you will NEVER win anyone over to your side by being a belligerent asshole. You said yourself that you’ve been fighting for 40 years and nothing’s changed; it’s only gotten worse.

Don’t give up the fight, but maybe it’s time to change the METHOD.
