First time reader of your blog here, but I must say how wonderful that discussion was, specially the Tamil protest issue. You and 2 gents on the Panel have restored my faith in Canada, that you are in fact aware of what goes on. The guy left of you in a white shirt with bleeding heart is the exception though, as he kept bringing the Sri Lankan issue and the government’s treatment of civilians. Whether it was true or not was for another day, and frankly that discussion was done a few weeks before by Michael Coren with reps from Sinhala and Tamil community. But the issue was should Canada have just stood by and watched, this ever growing, never satisfied protests by a group representing a terrorist unit. I think 3 of you spoke for the majority of the Torontonians and my hat off to you.

As we speak I get news from Sri Lanka that by tomorrow morning or the weekend end, there will be no more terrorist leader/group for them to try and save. MOre than 10,000 civilians remaining there have been saved and the rest which are even less would be taken out before the weekend. Just keep and eye out for what the tune these protestors would take, after the war is over. I just hope that it won’t be a drastic one, as they (LTTE) do have over 1000 hardcore cadres as refugees here, ready suit up in “jackets” other than Winter. So as regular Canadians I hope you will keep a watchful eye on them and take steps to protect Canada!
