His name was Mohammad, but we called him "Moe". His father worked for the government as some kind of minister of something or other, and Moe got an allowance that was rather large, so Moe had PLENTY of friends. However, when the Shaw fell Moe's father had him return back to Iran. I often wonder if Moe survived that time as many of that inner govenmental circle didn't. If he did and is still around I wonder about his thoughts on all this. He never once mentioned politics OR religion back in those days. To all of us he was just a guy that was neat to hang around with. He liked Leon Russell... The reason was because they feared for their life if they did. I'm Catholic and I feel no threat at all if I want to tell the Pope to take a long walk on a short peer from other Catholics. I was raped in 1994 by an Iranian. And I have ONE - count 'em, ONE - Muslim girlfriend I would go out of my way for. The rest of them can just die. I wouldn't piss on them if they were burning.
