I guess I'll always have a different attitude toward leapyears. A very kind, patient older boy who lived down the street from us spent many hours with me until I could ride a bike. His birthday only came around every four years.

I remember reading something once written by a guy who was explaining how to split cinderblocks with one's bare hand. He mentioned that you had to aim below the brick when striking, or else you would pull your punch and break your hand.

It is good to see you aiming beyond the obstacles of life. Happy Thanksgiving.

Thank you for sharing your stories, Wendy. Although I seldom comment, I read your blog daily. You are a very gifted writer, and a brave lady to open yourself up to your readers in such a personal way. I hope things improve for you and you are able to find true happiness. It sounds like you have wonderful people in your life, who love you very much. Hang on to that when all else fails.

I stumbled upon you quite by accident Wendy. Though we've never met (and probably never will) I know your a beautiful person, for I can see your heart through your writing. Thank you for sharing your story. Most would not.

We all feel pain in some way, and I won't try to mitigate yours with tales of others, but do know this, it's at our weakest moments that our real strenght is built. And without friends we would have so very little. You have much to be thankful for on this day. We all do.

God bless you and keep you Wendy. And thank you.
