“No fatwa has ever been issued against a Muslim honour killing.”

Vlad Tepes Blog contributor Grace has an essay on the Aqsa Parvez/Toronto Life honor killing story. Bottom line:

If it looks like an honour killing, walks like an honour killing and talks like an honour killing, it is an honour killing. Honour in Islam depends upon the dishonouring of women and to claim otherwise is a lie.

    The gratuitous injustices against Muslim women are something systematically ignored by the leftist illuminati and even the story-hungry media. What good will further gun control do, might a liberal reason, as long as cultural practices like this go uncondemned?

    The question should be raised, “can something qualify as a hate crime, even if it is against a member of one’s own racial, cultural, and religious community?” Because of gender, I think the answer is yes.
