Dismissing their plights based on the severity of your own is just spite and accomplishes nothing, it is merely the cycle of abuse. You can either spend your life working your ass off to accomplish as much as you can with what nature gave ya, or you can spend your life whining and snivelling like a spoiled brat. This "story" is just the latest in the line of "poor me" pieces which seem to be so popular in modern culture. Seems like everyone's a victim. Meanwhile my life is going great, despite whatever handicaps nature may have thrown at me. That's because I've learned to capitalize on my good traits in order to compensate for the bad. Not a gorilla with a complex or the shot mans disease. Though my 19 year old cousin say's she likes bad boy's. They make her heart beat faster or so she says. Sure, I suppose if you're the exceedingly desperate/vain sort, you can use lifts or somesuch, but though everyone knows that most women are cosmetically-enhanced, and thus forgiving when the charade ends the end morning (beer goggles firmly stowed and make-up erosion revealing the Bela Lugosi within), I'm guessing there isn't going to be quite the level of understanding from your partner if you turn out to be 4" shorter than the night before.
