I'm sorry for the pains you have gone through, as a woman, to please men and the subsequent ridicule you have gone through. However, it's a shame that you don't come to the greater realization that we need to stop this sort of treatment of all people. Compassion, empathy, understanding are the only ways to achieve that. Dismissing their plights based on the severity of your own is just spite and accomplishes nothing, it is merely the cycle of abuse.

"I know I’m looking to piss off a lot of guys here, but shutthefuckup and be a man."

You're only going to piss of the idiots. Anyone with half a brain understands that nature isn't "fair". Some guys are born short, some are born "short". Some are predispositioned to be fat, some have the build of a stick-figure. Some are born geniuses, some are born retards. Who cares? You can either spend your life working your ass off to accomplish as much as you can with what nature gave ya, or you can spend your life whining and snivelling like a spoiled brat.

This "story" is just the latest in the line of "poor me" pieces which seem to be so popular in modern culture. Seems like everyone's a victim. Meanwhile my life is going great, despite whatever handicaps nature may have thrown at me. That's because I've learned to capitalize on my good traits in order to compensate for the bad. It's a hell of a lot more effective than whining to the newspapers about how life isn't fair.

Being short is just another excuse to be lazy. Sure tall guys get good jobs like pretty Women. So what? Its been my experiannce the Ladies go after a go getter over looks every time. You see they need security for futur infants & a home. Not a gorilla with a complex or the shot mans disease. Though my 19 year old cousin say's she likes bad boy's. They make her heart beat faster or so she says.

If you really want to impress a Women as my granny used to say , work hard & get a house. Shows you have potential with a bit of gumption. Trainable as the Ladies say.

ECM,

I'm 5'8 1/2" and a good number of women have told me I am short which is stupid ( or ignorant ) because in Canada the average height for men is exactly 5'8 1/2" .

I'm not sure I count in this group (5'8"), and I agree that it's just a wee bit silly, but being short (something you're sorta born with) isn't as easily remedied as slathering on your 'face' before going out to hook up at the bar, so I don't think the analogy here holds.

Sure, I suppose if you're the exceedingly desperate/vain sort, you can use lifts or somesuch, but though everyone knows that most women are cosmetically-enhanced, and thus forgiving when the charade ends the end morning (beer goggles firmly stowed and make-up erosion revealing the Bela Lugosi within), I'm guessing there isn't going to be quite the level of understanding from your partner if you turn out to be 4" shorter than the night before.
